In loving memory of our precious mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Loretta Marie Adkins was born April 2, 1934, and went home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Ira and Ruby Hay. She was united in marriage to her loving and devoted husband, Kenneth Adkins. In addition, she leaves her children, Lisa Adkins and Kenny Adkins (Melissa), surviving sister, Shirley Sutherland and sister-in-law, Madge Hay. Preceded her in death is her sister, Delores Owens and her brothers, Roger Wayne, Jim, Mac, and Kenny Hay. She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren, Kimberly (Clint Mullican) Pettigrew, Carey Ellen (Tommy) Goss, Kendall, and Regan Adkins. She was blessed with four great-grandchildren, David, Levon, Margaret, and Mae.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She loved her church family and her service to the Lord left a wonderful testimony to us all.
She was a good friend to all, and she never met a stranger. We are all better people for having known such a beautiful and caring person. But we know that our loss is heavens gain and I know Dad is jumping for joy seeing mom. You know she passed away the exact same date dad died, May 25, 2003. We know we will meet you in that glorious place.
After she retired, she loved working part time at the Country Club, golfing some, being with her family, playing solitaire and keeping up with family and friends on Facebook.
It is very hard to say good-bye to such a special person. No one will take your place in our hearts. We love you and know you are resting in your new home.

Lisa Adkins
