Loren Walters Smith

Loren Walters Smith was born January 6, 1923 in Selmer, Tennessee the son of the late Jess M. and Pearl Walters Smith.He was united in marriage to Florence Jones on June 21, 1942.Mr. Smith owned and operated the Sunset Drive In Theatre which was located in Selmer, TN, served in the Army during WWII and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Selmer, TN.He departed this life on January 25, 2009 in Stantonville, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 19 Days.Mr. Smith is survived by his wife Florence (Jones) Smith of Selmer, TN; three sons, Doug Smith and wife Ann of Stantonville, TN, Larry Smith and wife Jeannie of Paris, TN, Phil Smith and wife Judy of Chattanooga, TN; thirteen grandchildren, Melissa Smith, Amy Smith, Emily Smith, Lori Smith, Rebekah Smith, Amanda Smith, Bryant Smith, Sarah Smith, Jeremy Smith, Anna Smith, Deborah Smith, Jonathan Smith, David Smith and a grt-grandchild, Allie Steelman.In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Alice Rutherford and a brother, Jess M. Smith Jr.
