Loren Douglas Monson

Loren Douglas Monson was born May 23, 1940 in Madison, WI the son of the late Ingolf and Violet Peterson Monson. He was united in marriage to Deborah Harper on June 10, 2000.

Loren was a retired truck driver. He had traveled over 3 million miles over his career without any accidents. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed wood working. He had a great sense of humor. 

Mr. Monson departed this life on September 18, 2023 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 3 Months, 26 Days.

He is survived by his wife Deborah Harper Monson of Selmer, TN; two sons, Thad Monson and wife Maria of Savannah, TN, Trent Monson and wife Cerry of San Ysidro, CA; a daughter, Lorna Monson of Frederic, WI; a brother, Leonard Monson and wife Connie of Rehoboth, MA; a sister, Linda Shaw of Lady Lake, FL; seven grandkids, and 16 great grandkids.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Monson was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Gehrke, Punky Larsen; a grandchild, Robbie Museus.
