Finger, TN: Lonzo Franklin Taylor, Sr., age 84 passed away October 3, 2010 at the Harbert Hills Academy Nursing Home in Savannah, TN.
He was born in Sebring, FL and reared in Arcadia, FL the son of the late Frank and Marie Albrittin Taylor. He went to school in Lorida, FL. He was married to Jeanatta Lee Douglas in 1949. They made their home in Arcadia where he worked as a ranch hand on a ranch.
He later worked in Ft. Pierce, FL as a heavy machine operator and retired in 1986. They moved to the Finger Community in McNairy County in 1986. He liked boating and fishing and doing mechanic work at home and for other people.
He is survived by four sons; Larry Taylor of Finger, B.F. Taylor of Bethel Springs, Lonzo Taylor, Jr. of Henderson and Edward Taylor of Rocky Knob; a daughter, Jo Taylor Moore of Henderson; three half brothers, J.C. Johnson of FL, Billy Howard Johnson of Sardis and Phillip Johnson of FL; two half sisters, Lillie Bell Carter and Dorothy Douglas both of FL; 18 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanatta Lee Douglas Taylor; a son, Terry Taylor; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Taylor; a brother, Frank Taylor and a sister, Hazel Tindell.
