Funeral services for Lonzo Sherrill, age 83, of Collinwood, TN will be on Thursday September 14, 2006 at 1:00 pm Houston Baptist Church, Collinwood, TN with Jerry Robbins and Carroll Littrell officiating. Interment following in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood,TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Wednesday September 13, 2006 from 6:00 pm until service time at Houston Baptist Church, Collinwood,TN
Lonzo Sherrill a native of Wayne County, TN died on Tuesday September 12, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN . He was born on December 16, 1922 to the late Clay Sherrill, Sr. and Effie Foster Sherrill. Mr. Sherrill was preceded in death by son; Jerry L. Sherrill ; daughter; Shirley Sherrill Murphy and brother of the late J.C.; Edward; Elzo; Dee; Jerry; Joyce and Joy Sherrill and 2 unnamed infants.
Mr. Lonzo was a farmer, factory worker with Murray Ohio member of Houston Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
