LONNIE TIDWELL
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 16, 1940 the son of the late Lonnie Tidwell, Sr. and Mattie Lee Fox Tidwell.
On August 29, 1964 he was united in marriage to Judy Ann Barbee, who survives.
Mr. Tidwell worked for Tidwell's Manufacturing and Tidwell's Bargain Center. He was a member of Wards Apostolic Church. Mr. Tidwell was a former resident of Elkhart, Indiana and Waterloo, Alabama. He loved gardening, cooking fish and carpentry. He was a very hard worker, easy going and enjoyed life. Mr. Tidwell never met a stranger.
He departed this life on October 1, 2010 at the Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 15 days.
In addition to his wife, Judy of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by 2 daughters, Theresia Roach and her husband John and Lisa Copeland and her husband Charles, all of Savannah, Tennessee.
5 grandchildren, Jacob Roach, Luke Roach, Casey Copeland, Levi Copeland, and Kayla Copeland Strange
2 great grandchildren, Jacoby Billsie and Zachary Billsie
one brother, John Tidwell of Savannah, Tennessee
2 sisters, Wilma Hodges of Middleton, Tennessee and Inez Stricklin of Savannah, Tennessee
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Glen and James Tidwell, 2 sisters, Louise Hairell and Yvonne Banks and one grandchild, Samuel Copeland
