Lois South

Lois Whitaker South was born March 9, 1914 in Hardin County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Elmer and Dora Wood Whitaker.Mrs. South was a retired Line Supervisor for Cameo Curtain Company in Memphis, TN. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Michie, Tennessee. Mrs. South departed this life on February 5, 2008 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 10 Months, 27 Days.She is survived by a daughter, Audrey Oneita Poindexter and husband Charles of Drummonds, TN; four grandchildren, Teresa Ward, Keith, Larry, and Autry Poindexter all four of Memphis, TN; 5 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Mrs. South was preceded in death by her husband Commodore South; two sisters, Ruby Crowts and Loraine Brooks and two brothers, Eldridge and Otha Whitaker.
