Lois Rowland Reaves, 85, of Middleton, died Friday, January 21, at
Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
The widow of James Edward Reaves, who died July 17, 1979, she
was a homemaker. Mrs. Reaves was born July 28, 1919 in Walnut,
Miss., to the late Wylie Leland Rowland and Flossie Martindale
Rowland, and lived all of her life in the Middleton and Walnut
area. She was a member of the Middleton Woman's Club and held
various offices in the First United Methodist Women's Club where
she was a member.
Services were 11 a.m. Saturday, January 22, at the First United
Methodist Church of Middleton with Rev. Bob Cole officiating.
Burial was in Reaves Cemetery in Middleton with Jack Brady, Joe
Clark, Donnie Clifton, Vernon Henderson, Wayne Rixie and Tom
Thompson serving as casket bearers.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Thelbert
Speck; one grandson, Kevin Speck; and one great-grandson James
Speck all of Middleton. She was preceded in death by her brother
Wylie Thomas Rowland.
