Lois Marie Moffett

Lois Marie Templeton Moffett was born May 31, 1928 in Selmer, TN the daughter of the late Abb and Donnie Wardlow Templeton.She was united in marriage to William Warren Moffett on May 31, 1947. Mr. Moffett preceded her in death on January 28, 2002.Mrs. Moffett was a homemaker and also worked in the kitchen and as a office assistant at the Brown Shoe company before she retired. Mrs. Moffett loved attending church services and was a member of the Stantonville Church of Christ. Some of her favorite pastimes were cooking, gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family. Two of her families favorite dishes that she would prepare were; chicken and dressing, and her famous Coca Cola cake.Mrs. Moffett departed this life on May 1, 2013 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 11 Months, 1 Day. She is survived by her son, William Lane Moffett of Stantonville, TN; two grandchildren, Vickie Lynn Moffett and fiancee Stephen Cruzen of Memphis, TN, Julie Lea Benson and husband Jody of Corinth, MS; one grt-grandchild, Jincy Lynn Benson of Corinth, MS; and a sister-in-law, Lois Templeton of Adamsville, TN.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moffett was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, Grant, and Elbridge Templeton along with two sisters, Hess Evans, and Mae Cain.
