Lois Imogene Ervin

October 4, 1919 — April 27, 2007

Mrs. Ervin was born and reared in Johnson County, Ozark and Viena, IL, the daughter of the late Harley Fay and Martha Ann Miller Gingrich. She attended schools in Toulon, IL and graduated high school in 1936. She ran a boarding home in Joliet, IL and also worked at the TB Hospital in Joliet, and later at the arsenal and also worked at the Joliet public school system. In 1966 she was married to Harlie Ervin and they made their home in Joliet where Mr. Ervin was employed by the caterpillar tractor company until they moved to Henderson in 1979.



Mr. Ervin died in 1997 and Mrs. Ervin later moved to Arizona to be near her son, and the last two years she had made her with her daughter in Jackson, MS.



She is survived by a son; Ronald Hollis of Maricopa, AZ and a daughter Donna Lewis of Jackson, MS and eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She also has three sisters; Mildred Gruver of Mt. Vernon, OH, Avenel Huffman of East Peoria, IL, and Lovena Milburn of Toulon, IL.



Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday from the Chapel of Casey Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Rowland officiating and burial will follow at Chester County Memory Gardens.



The family will receive friends at Casey Funeral Home beginning at 5:00 PM Monday.
