Funeral services for Lisa Renee Whitehead, age 45, a resident of Wayne County Nursing Home, formerly of Iron City, TN will be 2:00 pm Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Shackelford Chapel in Collinwood with Cyrus Quillen and Herbert Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge.
Lisa was born in Lauderdale County, AL, a daughter of Charles and Lila Martin Whitehead of Iron City, TN. She died Friday, October 12, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charlie and Ruby Whitehead and Coleman and Eula Martin; a brother, Tommy Whitehead; and a long time companion, Charles Nobles.
She was a retired factory worker and a member of Fairview church of Christ. Lisa was always a caregiver. She helped with her grandparents who lived close. When her dad was diagnosed with terminal illness, she was always helping with his cattle and outside chores.
Other than her parents, she leaves behind to cherish her memory, a sister, Tanzie Whitehead of Iron City; her little dog Peyton; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
