Lindsey D. Warren

Lindsey D. Warren was born August 24, 1950 in Ft. Worth, Texas the son of the late Thomas B. and Faye C. Brauer Warren.



He was united in marriage to Susan Poteet on May 26, 1973.



Dr. Warren graduated from Henderson High School and Freed-Hardeman College, where he played baseball. He earned his undergraduate degree from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas and received his M.A. in Christian Doctrine and Apologetics from Harding University Graduate School of Religion in Memphis. Dr. Warren completed his Phd in Communication at the University of Oklahoma, where he became a Sooner fan for life. He preached for 20 years at the Northeast church of Christ in Moore, Oklahoma and began working with Freed-Hardeman University in 2000 as a Professor of Speech. He formerly served as Campus Minister for the University of Tennessee at Martin and at Freed-Hardeman.





Dr. Warren departed this life on September 24, 2009 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 59 Years, 1 Month. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Susan Warren of Henderson, TN; a son, Thomas Bart Warren and wife Laura of Ramer, TN; two sisters, Karen Waters and husband Mike of Arlington, TX and Jan Coleman McCoy and husband Ron of Jonesboro, AR; two twin grandsons, Loukas and Titus Warren; and a host of friends.



In addition to his parents, Dr. Warren was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jon Coleman and a nephew, Jon Warren Coleman.
