Linda Walton Cossar

Mrs. Cossar departed this life on Monday morning, January 2, 2023, at Bolivar General Hospital.

The daughter of the late Charles A. Walton, Jr. and Martha Sadler Walton, she was born in Hardeman County and lived all of her life here except for six years in Memphis. Mrs. Cossar was a 1966 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and was married to Jimmy Cossar on June 3rd of that year. They had been married for 56 years at the time of her passing.

Primarily a homemaker, she had worked briefly for Dr. Berryman and at United Family Life Insurance in Bolivar. She was a long-time, faithful member of Parrans Chapel Baptist Church where she enjoyed attending her Sunday School class and helping with Vacation Bible School in years past. She was especially close to her father and considered herself a "Daddy's Girl". In her spare time, Mrs. Cossar enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of her family. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to her husband, Jimmy, she also leaves two sons, Craig (Jan) Cossar of Somerville and Keith Cossar (Debbie Dillard) of Bolivar; and two grandchildren, Kara and Matthew Cossar.

Preceding her in death were her father and mother; two sisters, Sandra Kaye and Donna Faye Walton; and two brothers, an infant brother and Dana Walton.
