LINDA SMITH

Enville, TN: Linda Sue Cagle Smith age 64 passed away October 17, 2018 at Alive Hospice, Nashville, TN.

She was born September 28, 1954 in Selmer, TN, the daughter of the late Elmer Channing and Nettie Mamie Staten Cagle. She grew up in the Leapwood Community of McNairy County and graduated from Adamsville High School in 1972. She married Randy Smith in 1980. She worked for Leapwood Mfg. and then Chester County Sportswear for several years, before going to work for the City of Henderson Utility Dept. in 1996 retiring in 2012 due to health reasons.

She loved people, was a giver, always eager to help others. She loved going to watch her son play baseball, loved music, especially singing and playing the guitar. She loved her family, family gatherings and shopping. She also had a special love, her dog ‘Spark Plug’ who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Randy Keith Smith of Enville; a son Nickolas Keith Smith and fiancée, Torie A. Groswirth of Franklin, TN; six brothers, Jerry Cagle of Hartselle, AL, Eddie Cagle of Washington, IL, Montie Cagle of Finger, TN, Harold Cagle, Dean Cagle and Timmy Cagle all of Adamsville, TN; three sisters, Carolyn Roten of Savannah, Donna Crowe of Finger and Loretta Hipps of Adamsville, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Martha Jane Plunk.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Lloyd Blankenship and Bobby Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time.
