LINDA TAYLOR SCOTT



Henderson: Linda Scott, age 67, died Friday, April 2, 2010 at Jackson General Hospital.



Linda was born and reared in Chester County, the Montezuma Community, the daughter of the late Oliver Jefferson and Bertie Cleo Warren Taylor. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1960 and married Norman Scott, February 5, 1965. They made their home in Henderson where Norman worked for Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation, retiring as District Director and Linda worked in the offices of Salant and Salant and Chester County Sportswear. She worked at Dollar General Store for ten years and later at Peoples Cleaners. In the spring and summer she worked in the garden department at Chester Farmer’s Co-Op.



Linda was a volunteer grandmother at West Chester Elementary School and a member of the Estes Church of Christ.



She is survived by a son Trent Scott and wife Suzanne of Finger and two sisters; Peggy Lard and husband Larry and Jo Ann Clayton and husband Geney all of Henderson.



She was preceded in death by her husband Norman in 2007.



Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Shackelford - Casey Chapel with Mike Clayton and Roy Sharp officiating and burial will follow at Chester County Memory Gardens.



The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 4:00 PM Sunday.
