Linda Boykin Kelly, 78, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. She was born February 1, 1940 the only child to Thomas W. Boykin and Lenora Jane Wallace Boykin. She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Charles A. Kelly, Sr.
The three oldest grandchildren remember spending summers with her and going to get snacks and to the show. The two youngest granddaughters fondly remember trips to the hairdresser and the dollar store with their Mimi. She loved to eat fresh fish and her youngest grandson was happy to oblige her by fishing regularly with his granddaddy to fill her freezer. Her favorite place to travel was the mountains in the fall to see the beautiful leaves.
She loved her children of all ages but the Lord came first. She regularly talked with her children about being right with the Lord.
Usually a quiet, reserved woman protecting her children and grandchildren could bring out the lioness within. She was a sweet and generous woman who will be missed by family and friends.
In the words of her great grandson John David, she was the grandmama that loved him all the time.
Surviving are her daughter, Lenora Jane Boyer (Mickey) of Rincon, GA and son, Charles A. Kelly, Jr. (Nora) of Selmer, TN; five grandchildren, Laura Jane Sellers (Timothy) of Pembroke, GA; John Stephen Franklin (Kristin) of Rincon, GA; Joseph Michael Roberson (Jennifer) of Blackcreek, GA; Claire Alexandra Kelly of Selmer, TN; Isabella Marie Kelly of Selmer, TN; six great-grandchildren, Timothy Brandon Sellers of Pembroke, GA; Taylor Brooke Sellers of Pembroke, GA; John Stephen Franklin, III (Trey) of Rincon, GA; John David Roberson of Blackcreek, GA; Madison Noelle Roberson of Blackcreek, GA; Dylan Michael Franklin of Rincon, GA.
