Linda Gilbert

Linda Gilbert was born May 27, 1943 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Darcus Malone Lipford.

Mrs. Gilbert attended Bethel Springs High School and was formerly employed as a production worker for Brown Shoe Company in Selmer and Aqua Glass in Adamsville. She grew up in the Beauty Hill community and attended the Beauty Hill Pentecostal Church when she was young. She was also a former member of the Purdy Community Center. Fishing and tending her flower beds were two of Mrs. Gilbert's favorite pastimes.

Mrs. Gilbert departed this life on December 14, 2019 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 6 Months, 17 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Judy Lipford of Selmer, TN; a son, Frankey Gilbert and wife Brenda of Selmer, TN; three grandchildren: Michael Gilbert and wife Brandi of Finger, TN, Josh Gilbert of Selmer, TN, and Brandon Vickers of Henderson, TN; three great-grandchildren: Macee Gilbert, Gunner Gilbert, and Bryson Gilbert; a brother, Charles Wayne Lipford of Bethel Springs, TN; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gilbert was preceded in death by two husbands, Junior Gilbert and Benny Lipford; three sisters: Francis Austin, Margie Garrett, and Ida Jones; and three brothers: Arlie Lipford, Roy (Pat) Lipford, and Troy Lipford; sister-in-law, Peggy Lipford; brother-in-law, Kenneth Austin.
