Linda Ellen Dix

Mrs. Linda Ellen Dix was born June 10, 1915 in Florence, Alabama the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Katie Selena Bratton Kelley.She was united in marriage to Ewell C. Dix who preceded her in death on June 1, 1994.Mrs. Dix was a homemaker. She was a member of the Fourth Street Church of Christ. She was an avid gardner, quilter and reader. Her favorite Bible passage was Psalm 23.She departed this life on September 3, 2005 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 2 Months, 24 Days.Mrs. Dix is survived by three daughters, Kathy Taylor of St. Louis, Missouri; Elaine Drye of Valparaiso, Indiana; Frances Easterday and husband Gene of Selmer, Tennessee; three sons, Larry Dix of Corinth, Mississippi; Jim Dix of South Roxanna, Illinois; Glyn Dix of Selmer, Tennessee; thirty-two grandchildren; fifty-two great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren.Other than her parents and her husband, Mrs. Dix was preceded in death by three sons, E. C. (Bud) Dix; Kenneth Dix; Jerry Dix; six sisters and five brothers.
