Ms. Campbell passed away Thursday morning, December 15 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.
A native of Saulsbury, she worked as a bookkeeper for 30+ years with the Tate County Co-Op and was a homemaker. She was born October 6, 1939 to George Marcus Campbell and Eula Rushing Campbell and lived most of her life in Coldwater and Senatobia. She enjoyed watching birds and feeding them, gardening and going on trips, especially with her Sunday School group. She was a 1972 graduate of the University of Mississippi, with a teaching degree in english and french. Ms. Campbell was a member of Longview Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Devereaux Hawkins of Senatobia; a son, George Wesley Devereaux of Senatobia; a sister, Peggy Campbell McCombs of Senatobia; a brother, Gene Campbell of Saulsbury; a stepdaughter, Sharon Devereaus of Texas; a step son, John Charon Devereaux, Jr. of Maryland; four grandchildren, Lincoln Wade Hawkins, Nicole Denise Hawkins, Jonathon and Melissa Devereaux; and five step grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Mary Campbell Watson, Dora Campbell Hiland and Elinor Campbell Allen and 2 brothers, Mark and Ralph Campbell.
