Linda Darlene Azevedo, age 76, passed to her heavenly reward early Sunday morning, October 27, 2024 at Henderson Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born in Tulare, California on June 10, 1948, daughter of the late Bob and Geneva Meek Johnstone. She was raised in Boron, California.

She married Ray Azevedo on February 17, 1967.

She was employed as a secretary for many companies over the years.

She and Ray moved to Chester County, TN in 2000.

Linda was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Jackson.

She always had a love for music and played the keyboard, organ and piano.

She is survived by her husband Ray of Henderson; a son Marvin Azevedo also of Henderson; two daughters Leanna Azevedo of Daphne, AL and Lisa Hopper of Jackson, TN; 10 grandchildren Vincent Azevedo, Mykala Rodriguez, Devin Azevedo, Hayley Azevedo, Mark George (Ryan), Taylor George, Cortney Holloway, Warren Saccapilltio, Dillan Hopper and Caylie Hopper; 9 great grandchildren Cameron Azevedo, Brooklyn Azevedo, Jax Azevedo, Chase Bushnell, Kasen Holloway, Kinsley Holloway, Josiah Rodriguez, and Zane Rodriguez, Amiyah Rodriguez; two brothers Larry Johnstone and Michael Johnstone (Rita) both of Colorado Springs, CO; and a sister Carolyn Stites (Wayne) of San Jose, CA.

Mrs. Azevedo was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Angela Saccapilltio, two sisters Theresa Bixby and   Sharon Ratliff.

The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Henderson, East Main Chapel on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

A graveside burial service will immediately follow this visitation at Chester County Memorial Gardens in Henderson.
