Lillie Emeline Coats

Lillie Emeline Goodman Coats of Selmer was born on September 15, 1914, in Wayne County, Tennessee, to Sam and Linda Virginia Hill Goodman. She was united in marriage to Ezra Coats who preceded her in death on June 23, 1987. Mrs. Coats was a homemaker, a member of the United Pentecostals of Bethel Springs, and the Busy Bees Quilting Club. She loved her church and to cook and sew for her family and friends.Mrs. Coats passed from this life on Sunday, April 27, 2008, in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 93 Years, 7 Months, and 12 Days.Survivors are her 2 daughters, Faye Clayton and husband Zolon, and Rebecca Redmon and husband Stanley, both of Selmer; a brother, Earl Goodman of Clifton, Tennessee.Also survived by 5 Grandchildren: Chad Clayton and wife Kerri, Samantha Rainey and husband Terry, Clay Redmon, Casey Redmon, and Telecia Macdonald and husband AaronSix Great-Grandchildren: Jonathan Clayton, Wesley Rainey, Kristin Clayton, Karenna Rainey, Cayla Redmon, and Colton RedmonA host of other relatives and friends.Other than her parents and husband, Mrs. Coats was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Dovie Holt, Carrie Turnbow, and Olive Holt. Also preceded by 2 brothers, Andy Goodman, and Kennie Goodman.
