Mrs. Lillian M. Tigner of Hornsby departed this life at the age of 76 years and 8 months Tuesday evening, December 4, 2012 at McNairy County Health Care Center in Selmer.
She was born April 4, 1936 to the late Aussie Felix Moore and Eula Mae Deadrick Moore and lived all her life in Hardeman County. In July of 1950 she was united in marriage to Robert W. Tigner, who preceded her in death October 2, 2006. Prior to retirement, she worked at Western Mental Health Institute in the dietary and housekeeping departments. She also worked at Brown Shoe Company in Selmer. Among her hobbies, she loved gardening, working in her flowers, crocheting, sewing and quilting, and was very accomplished in many other crafting techniques. She was a very devoted grandmother and loved her family. She was a member of Hatchie Baptist Church in Hornsby.
Mrs. Tigner is survived by a daughter, Loretta Goodrum and husband Dennis of Selmer; three sons, William Tigner and wife Pat of Hornsby, Steve Tigner and wife Tammy of Hornsby and Randy Tigner and wife Rita of Hornsby; two sisters, Kathy Ellis of Bethel Springs and Betty Reaves of Eastview; a brother, Sonny Moore of Selmer; six granddaughters, Tina Baker, Morgan Davidson, LeAnn Howell, Ashley Tigner, Taylor Tigner and Lillie Tigner; and one great-grandchild, Case Baker.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Robert Jeffrey Tigner, a grandson, William Wade Tigner, a stepmother, Mildred Moore, a sister, Barbara Kiser, and a brother, John Quinton Moore.
