Lillian Sylvia Astley Henley was born April 25, 1931 in Lancashire County, England the daughter of the late Benjamin Astley II and the late Alice Joyce Winifred Astley.
She was united in marriage to Robert Lee Henley on April 11, 1950. Mr. Henley preceded her in death on March 25, 1995.
Mrs. Henley retired as a lead material handler at Grinnell in Henderson. She was Baptist in belief. Mrs. Henley grew up in Lancashire County England during World War II. She met her husband while he was stationed in England and she moved to the United States in 1950. She was a Pink Lady with the McNairy Regional Hospital Auxiliary, a published poet, knitted over 40 afaghans for the people in her church celebrating their anniversaries and was a certified welder.
Mrs. Henley departed this life on May 14, 2007 in Finger, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 19 Days. She is survived by her son, Paul Henley, Sr. and wife Brenda of Finger, Tennessee; sister, Joyce Chisnall of Lancashire County, England; two grandsons, Paul Henley Jr. of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Robert Henley of Russellville, Kentucky; grand daughter, Sylvia Nicole Henley of Finger, Tennessee; four great grandsons, Paul Benjamin Henley III of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Jacob Henley of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Lucas Henley of Russellville, Kentucky, and Sammy Henley of Russellville, Kentucky.
In addition to her husband, Robert Henley and parents, Benjamin Astley II and Alice Joyce Winifred Astley she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Henley, Jr.; daughter, April Joy Henley; grandson, Joshua Henley; brother, Benjamin Astley III.
