She was born and reared in Chester County, the Estes Community, the daughter of the late Walter and Lessie Maness Moore. She attended schools in Chester County. She was married to Herman Odell Davis in 1938. They made their home in the Estes Community and farmed most of their married life. They also lived at Bemis and worked at the Bemis Cotton Mill for a short time. Mr. Davis died in 1985. Mrs. Davis made her home at Heritage Towers in Henderson since 1990. She was a member of the Estes Church of Christ.
She is survived by four sons Kenneth Davis and wife Patsy of Henderson, Harold Davis and wife Margaret of Jackson, Larry Davis and wife Minnie of Henderson and Michael Davis and wife Sandy of Finger; she also has eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; and a sister Georgia Orr of Bethel Springs.
