Lillian Kyle Creswell
was born April 22, 1920 in Hardin County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Arch and Lula Massey Kyle.
During her life she had worked as a homemaker, Brown Shoe Company, and as a secretary for the State of Tennessee. Ms. Creswell had lived in the Bruton Branch and Mt. Hermon communities. She was a very active member of the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and wrote the Mt. Hermon News in the Savannah Courier for about 40 years. She was a great cook, seamstress, and a loving mother and grandmother.
Ms. Creswell departed this life on August 10, 2008 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 3 Months, 19 Days.
Ms. Creswell is survived by a daughter, Pamela White Ferrell of Savannah, TN; three sons, Jimmy Glen White, Jerry Lane Morton, and Gary Wayne Morton all of Savannah, TN; two sisters, Ilene Handley of Savannah, TN, Louise Parnell of Portage, IN; six grandchildren, Kyle Morton, David Morton, Jon Morton, Jennifer Harrison, Sarah Morton, Joseph Anthony Baker; seven great grandchildren, Michael Harrison, Jacob Harrison, Anna Harrison, Tyler Morton, Emily Morton, Foster Cook, Kylie Cook.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Creswell was preceded in death by her husbands, Glen White, Cecil Morton, Hollie Walker, and Raymond Creswell; two brothers, Paul Kyle and Billy Kyle; one sister, Ruth Riley; a half-sister, Edna Earl Devore.
