LILA CORNELIUSwas born in Marshall County, Mississippi on May 28, 1923 the daughter of the late William and Mary Owens Roach.She was united in marriage to David Cornelius, who preceded his wife in death on February 12, 1998.Mrs. Cornelius was a homemaker. She was Baptist in belief. Mrs. Cornelius enjoyed fishing, gardening and taking care of loved ones. She was a great cook, loved animals and she enjoyed talking on telephone to friends.Mrs. Cornelius departed this life on April 1, 2010 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 86 years, 10 months and 4 days.She is survived by 2 daughters, Betty Leonard of Savannah, Tennessee and Mary Riley of Olive Branch, Mississippi4 sons, Dean Leonard of Jacksonville, Florida, Rickey Spencer of Savannah, Tennessee, John Spencer of Selmer, Tennessee and Victor Cornelius of Savannah, Tennessee2 stepdaughters, Yvonne Horton of Savannah, Tennessee and Regina Carter of Jackson, Tennessee12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren2 sisters, Fay Tomlin and Tanda Roach, both of Como, Mississippione brother, Anthony Roach of Como, MississippiMrs. Cornelius was also preceded in death by 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
