Lige Pickens

Lige PIckens was born on December 13, 1933, the son of the late Bid and Etta Mae Mitchell Pickens.

On June 23, 1958, he was united in marriage to Thelma Christine McCraw Pickens, who preceded him in death on September 28, 2021.

Lige retired from LTV Steel Mill in Hammond, Indiana as a crane operator. He was a long time member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. He was a hardworking Christian who was a devoted follower of Christ and a loving and faithful husband. He was gentle, yet strong, who was generous in every way. He upheld the teachings of Christ and lived a life full of integrity. He always called his wife "darling" and loved being a father and grandfather.

He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Pickens Bromley of Henderson, Tennessee; brother, Melvin Pickens of Hammond, Indiana; granddaughter, Gabrielle Molina of Connecticut.

In addition to his parents and wife, Lige in preceded in death by his brothers, J.C. Pickens, Hassel Pickens, Ross Pickens, and Curtis Pickens.
