Lessie Pounds

Lessie Lain Pounds was born May 11, 1916 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Asa and Willie Nixon Lain. Mrs. Pounds was a homemaker for her family and was a member of the Mt. Sharon Presbyterian Church in the Gilchrist community. Mrs. Pounds departed this life on January 29, 2006 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 89 Years, 8 Months, 18 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Regenia Smith and husband David of Adamsville, Tennessee; a son, Carlos G. Pounds of Blytheville, Arkansas; four grandchildren: Robert Pounds of Anchorage, Alaska, Laura Pounds of Monette, Arkansas, Cory Pounds of Manila, Arkansas and Bridget Kiestler of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; and 9 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pounds was also preceded in death by three children: Don Pounds, Winston Pounds and Anita Gail Pounds.
