Mrs. Mills passed from this life at Rainbow Health and Rehabilitation in Bartlett, TN, April 3, 2013 at the age of 92 years and 5 days.
A native of Hardeman County, she was born to Roscoe R. and Hallie Fortune Robinson on March 29, 1921. She was married to Robert P. Mills on August 3, 1940 who passed on May 5, 1979. Mrs. Mills was a 1939 graduate of Middleton High School, a member of Bolivar First United Methodist Church, District Officer with the United Methodist Women, attended the Wesleyan Sunday school class and was involved with Loaves and Fishes. A homemaker, she loved her children and grandchildren; her family was her life. She resided in Bartlett from 2009 - 2013.
Survivors include a daughter, Norma West of Bartlett; a son Rev. Dale Mills and wife Charlene of White Bluff, TN; 5 grandchildren, Angela Dixon and husband John W., Bobby Mills Jr., David E. Mills and wife Tracey, Johnny West, Jr. and wife Gay, and Jennifer Lyons and husband Terry; 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Robinson and a son-in-law, John West.
