Lera Smith

Lera Lott Smith, age 86, died Sunday morning, April 22, 2007, at Jackson General Hospital.



Mrs. Smith was born and reared in Chester County, the daughter of the late Will Robin and Mary Dona Brewer Lott. She attended schools in Chester County and in 1938 was married to Leo Smith. They lived in the Pinson area where Mr. Smith farmed. Mr. Smith preceded in death in 1978. Mrs. Smith moved to Henderson and was a very active member of the Chester County Senior Citizens. She was an avid domino player and she loved to quilt. She was a member of the Sanford Hill Baptist Church.



She is survived by a daughter Judy Ruth and husband Bobby of Henderson, and two sons;

James Earl Smith and wife Joyce Ann of Henderson and Tommy Smith of Henderson. She was preceded in death by a daughter Joyce Smith Wilson in 1981.



She is also survived by a sister Maurine Foster of Henderson.



She has four grandchildren Lisa Alexander, Kevin Smith, Bobby Lynn Ruth and Johnny Voiles and three great grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Vera Lott and Arleene Lott and three brothers; Tillman Lott, Truman Lott, and W. C. Lott.



Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday from the chapel of Casey Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating and burial will follow at the Chester County Memory Gardens.



The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 4:00 PM Monday.
