Mrs. Mauney died early Friday at Magnolia Hospital in Corinth, Mississippi. The widow of James Earl Casey, who died in 1986 and B. L. Mauney, who died in 1999, she worked in the Middleton school cafeteria and was a former substitute teacher. She was born to Joe and Sara Kirk Pulse, both of whom preceded her in death, graduated from Middleton High School in 1940 and lived most all of her life here. She was a member of Grace Apostolic Church at Rogers Springs.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanie Montgomery of Ramer; a special niece, Sara Cartwright Null of Pocahontas; a son, Joe Casey of Pocahontas; four grandchildren, Casey and Christy Montgomery, Gary & Kim Casey and Kim and Terry Stanfill; and three great grandchildren, Hannah and John Casey and Lilli Stanfill. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Casey, three brothers, Alec, Doc and Jim Pulse and three sisters, Mary Vaughan, Lillian Mills and Ruby Cartwright.
