She was born and reared in Henderson, the daughter of the late H.C. and Irene Willis Christopher. She graduated from Chester County High School and attended Freed-Hardeman College. She worked at First State Bank in Henderson for nine years in the bookkeeping department. She married Wade Cox in 1968. They made their home in Henderson where Wade operated Cox Sawmill. She was involved in the East Chester, Middle and High School PTO and had served as president of the Chester County area PTO. She also served a term on the Chester County Board of Education. She was a member of the Henderson Church of Christ and the Freed-Hardeman Associates.She is survived by her husband, Wade C. Cox of Henderson; two daughters, Christie Brooks and husband Tim of Memphis and Stefanie Hueter and husband Heath of Henderson and six grandchildren, Jake, Luke and Georgia Brooks and Cara, Caden and Sofie Hueter.
