Lena Lax Watson, 85, of Bolivar, died Wednesday morning, April 11, 2007 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The widow of Julius P. Watson, who died December 23, 1990, she was a homemaker, had farmed for 25 years, was a secretary at Western Mental Health Institute for 25 years and worked at International Shoe Company for 2 years. Mrs. Watson was born January 17, 1922 in Grand Junction, daughter of the late John Henry Lax and Beulah Clement Lax Matthews and lived in Middleburg all of her life. She was director of WMU in Hardeman County for 22 years, attended Bolivar First Baptist Church and was a member of Middleburg Baptist Church for 57 years.
She is survived by several cousins.
