LENA BLOUNT
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 7, 1919 the daughter of the late Lonnie Elmer and Lantie Kathleen Rinks Caperton.
On December 23, 1942 she was united in marriage to Raymond Blount, who preceded his wife in death on March 21, 2000.
Mrs. Blount was a retired seamstress for over 25 years for Savannah Manufacturing Company. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. Mrs. Blount was the best and loving momma anyone could have. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, yard work, and baby-sitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Blount departed this life April 6, 2008 at the Savannah Healthcare in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 30 days.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Sue Simpson and Ann Garrard, both of Savannah, Tennessee and Linda Webb of Adamsville, Tennessee.

one great-great-grandchild, David Austyn Caldwell
3 sisters, Shelby Higgins, Barbara Easley and Pat Prince, all of Savannah, Tennessee and 2 brothers, Wesley and Douglas Caperton, both of Savannah, Tennessee.
Mrs. Blount was also preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Sherry Lynn Phillips and Kirk Webb, 3 sisters, Hautie Fielder, Louise Blount and Inez Caperton and 2 brothers, William Robert (Burr) Caperton and Elmer Caperton, Jr.
