Lena B. Atkins

Lena B. Atkins was born December 16, 1920 in McNairy County, TN, the daughter of the late Shane Burkett and the late Zeffie Bowers Lusk.She was united in marriage to Ed Atkins who preceded her in death.Mrs. Atkins was a homemaker and a member of the Forrest Hill Church of Christ in Selmer, Tennessee.She departed this life on December 17, 2006 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 1 Day. Mrs. Atkins is survived by four daughters, Elies Lee Atkins-Walker and husband Elbert of Selmer, Tennessee, Mary Tole and husband Mack of Darden, Tennessee, Nola F. Kirk and husband Howard and Jeanetta McCroy all of Selmer, Tennessee; five sons, Willie Atkins of St. Petersburg, Florida, Fred Atkins and wife Pat of Chicago, Illinois, William Atkins, Eddie Ray Atkins, and Marvin Atkins all of Selmer, Tennessee; one sister, Mary Ruth Dennis of Memphis, Tennessee; 38 Grandchildren, 62 Great Grandchildren, 20 Great Great Grandchildren; special cousin, Hattie Bell Stackens and special friends Ruth and John Warren.Other than her parents and her husband, Mrs. Atkins was preceded in death by a son, Ottis Atkins, one sister, Alberta Warren and one brother, Milus Lusk.
