Leland Howard Cole

Leland Howard Cole Sr.was born in Alabama on May 19, 1924 the son of the late Leslie Wesley and Atha Howard Cole.On November 23, 1957 he was united in marriage to Cora Reynolds, who survives.Mr. Cole was an Army Veteran and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church. In addition to Savannah, Tennessee, Mr. Cole had lived in Chicago, Illinois, Corinth, Mississippi, Texas, Tuscumbia, Leighton, and Spring Valley, Alabama. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to church, and spending time with family members.Mr. Cole departed this life on Friday, August 15, 2008 at the age of 84 years, 2 months, 27 days.In addition to his wife, Mr. Cole is survived by a daughter, Barbara Quinn and her husband Curtis of Florence, Alabama; 5 sons: Robert Cole of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Kenneth Cole and his wife Becky of Cherokee, Alabama, Jimmy Cole and his wife Wanda of Alabama, Leland Cole, Jr. and his wife Rosalie, Larry Cole and his wife Amy all of Savannah, Tennessee; 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Marrien Ray Cole; a son, David Leslie Cole; a brother, C.W. "Jack" Cole; 2 great-grandchildren.
