Lela Faye McCullar Pickering was born March 24, 1928 in Marks, MS the daughter of the late John Luther and Lela Belle Castleberry McCullar.She was united in marriage to Harold Lloyd Pickering on October 28, 1947. Mr. Pickering preceded her in death on July 31,2004. Mrs. Pickering was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee. Mrs. Pickering departed this life on December 21, 2011 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 8 Months, 27 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Janice Lemons and husband Charles of Selmer, TN, Sharon Stricklin and husband Danny of Ripley , MS; a son, David L. Pickering of Bethel Springs, TN; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Burkeens and husband Jeff of Enville, TN, Heather Drewery and husband Jeremy of Arlington, TN, Charles Lemons Jr. of Purdy, TN, Roxanne Gray and husband Jeff of Blue Mountain, MS, William Joel Adamsom of Ripley, MS, Benjamin Joseph Adamsom of Ripley, MS, Jacob Tyler Stricklin of Ripley, MS; 6 Great Grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Pickering was preceded in death by three sisters, Christine Bedwell, Earnestine Martindale, Doris Smith; three brothers, Russell McCullar, Edward McCullar, Stacey McCullar; and a grandson, Steven Joshua Stricklin.
