She was born in Chester County daughter of the late Hugh and Blanche Morrison Thomas. She was married to Roscoe Hunt for forty five years raising eleven children. Her first born “Sis†was an invalid and required around the clock care. In spite of this Mrs. Hunt managed to raise ten other children making sure they had three home cooked meals each day. She continued to prepare meals for her children, grandchildren and other family members after they had left home. Few could match her abilities in the kitchen but cooking was just a minor attribute compared to her other qualities. She was loving, kind, and considerate to all that knew her. Her body had age but she was still very young at heart and kept track of all her family. Her mind was very sharp even to near the end. She continued to grow in wisdom and in faith in God. Mrs. Hunt was a faithful member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She was not able to attend church regularly for many years because “Sis†required so much attention but she made sure her children were in attendance.
Mrs. Hunt’s survivors include children, Bill Hunt (Bobbie), Jimmy Hunt (Reba), Peggy Purnell (Don), Carolyn Blurton (Bill), Jack Hunt (Alicia), Cherrie Pipkin (John), Steve Hunt (Celia), Ginger Hinton (Bruce) and Rusty Hunt (Daphne).
