was born in Tishomingo County, Mississippi on February 6, 1923 the son of the late John Lewis and Minnie Irene Jones Williams.
On August 22, 1943 he was united in marriage to the former Irene White, who departed this life on June 10, 2005.
Mr. Williams was a retired security guard and a member of the Florence Baptist Church.
He departed this life on October 12, 2006 at his residence in Florence, Alabama at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 6 days.
Mr. Williams is survived by 2 daughters: Helen W. Austin of Cloverdale, Alabama and
Linda W. Martin of Florence, Alabama; 7 grandchildren: Bobby Austin, Mike Austin, Chris Austin, Greg Austin, Tristan Martin, Dustin Martin and Sonia Davis;
6 great-grandchildren: Bradie Lewter, Chelsea Nobles, Audra Davis, Dillion Davis, Jakob Smith and John Smith; and one brother, John B. Williams and his wife, Glenda.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 2 sons: Jack and Charles Williams.
