Lee Rainey
was born on August 12, 1921 in Wayne County, Tennessee the son of the late L. E. and Minnie Esry Rainey.
On July 18, 1942 he was united in marriage to the former Bertha Louise Linville, who survives. Mr. Rainey worked as a truck driver for Harville Sawmill, Bevis Sawmill and Olive Hill Lumber Company. He lived all of his life in Hardin County and was a member of River Heights Pentecostal Church.
He departed this life on September 26, 2006 at Savannah Healthcare Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 85 years, 1 month and 14 days.
Mr. Rainey is survived by his wife, Bertha Louise Linville Rainey of Savannah
and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Lee Rainey; a sister, Venus Rainey Harville; a brother, Elmer Rainey and 4 half-sisters: Dee-Dee Franks, Florence Bryant, Mary Narmore and Erma White.
