Lee Curtis Lax, 71 of Memphis, died Friday evening, October 27, 2006 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
The husband of Bobbie Jean Beshires Lax, who survives, he was a pilot for Charter Air Service. Mr. Lax was born January 20, 1935 in Bolivar, son of the late Jesse Wardel Lax and Alma Lee Troutt Lax and lived in Memphis since 1976. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service and was a member of Hickory Ridge Baptist Church in Memphis.
Graveside services were 11:00 am Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Union Cemetery near Bolivar with David Dix, David Cooper and Matt Capshaw officiating.
In addition to his wife, whom he married March 31, 1984, survivors include two daughters, Leslie Anderson of Kingwood, Texas and Edy Lynn Rushing of Houston, Texas; one son, Jesse Lee Lax of Memphis; step-daughter Tracy Koch of Nesbit, Mississippi; step-son, Matt Capshaw of Horn Lake, Mississippi and five grandchildren.
