Funeral services for Lawton J. Balentine, age 59 of Waynesboro will be Three p.m. Monday, June 4, 2007 at Shackelford Chapel in Waynesboro with John Hodum officiating. Interment to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Cypress Inn with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge.
Mr. Balentine was born in Florence, Alabama July 18, 1947. He died Friday, June 1, 2007 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertie Elizabeth Ann Balentine Edwards; and a niece, Donna Brown. He was a welder.
He is survived by a son, Donald Kevin Ballentine and a daughter, Secely Chantal Willoughby both of Bowling Green, KY; a sister, Yvonne Rumbaugh of Waynesboro; and half sisters, Frankie and Joyce both of Savannah; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
His children would like to give a special thanks to the people who enriched his life from day to day.
