Lawrence Douglas Jones, 50, of Hornsby, died early Thursday morning, October 13, 2005 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was a carpenter and truck driver for many years. Mr. Jones was born October 13, 1955 in Bolivar, son of the late Carl Alvin Jones and Thelma Hurst Jones and had lived around Hardeman County all of his life.
Services were 1 PM Saturday, October 15, 2005 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Tim Jones officiating. Burial was in Shandy Cemetery near Bolivar.
Survivors include one daughter, Christie Jones of Medon; two sisters, Phyllis Sinis of McKenzie and Effie Hall of Saltillo; three brothers, Alvin and Dennis Jones, both of Toone and Charles Jones of Hornsby; two grandchildren, Kayla and Kendall Dellinger and several nieces and nephews.
