She was born and reared in McNairy County, Refuge Community, the daughter of the late William Henry and Jeffie Blanche Archer Moore. She was married to R.A. Harris in 1949. They made their home in the Refuge Community. She was a member of the Adamsville Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a son Aubrey Wallace Harris in 1979.
She is survived by a son Joel Harris of Bethel Springs; a daughter, Sandra Matlock of Bethel Springs; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; three brothers, Ray Moore of Adamsville, Carl Moore of Flint, Michigan and Kenneth Moore of Bethel Springs; two sisters, Ima Farris of Selmer and Cleatous Thomas of Lawton.
