LAVELLE CASH HOLLEY
Adamsville, TN: Clistia Lavelle Cash Holley, age 93 passed away February 12, 2016 at McNairy County Health Care Center.
She was born February 17, 1922, near Cash School House near Enville in Chester County, the daughter of the late Wylie E. and Lula Jane Wilkins Cash. She attended school at Cash School House and in 1939 was married to James Payton Holley. They made their home around Enville where they farmed. They operated Holley’s Grocery at Enville for twenty years until Mr. Holley’s death in 1975.
She later worked at Tri-County Convalescent Home in Adamsville until she retired. She had made her home at Adamsville since 1980. She was a Methodist in belief.
Mrs. Holley is survived by one son, Billy Holley of Olive Branch, MS and a daughter, Jane Thompson of Olive Branch, MS; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Roger Holley in 2001 and Jerry Holley in 2010, a brother, Joseph Bryan Cash and a sister, Aline Hutton.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday February 15, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville with Bro. Mike Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery at Enville, TN.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville beginning at 10:00 AM Monday until service time at 1:00 PM Monday.
