Henderson, TN: Laura Camille Johnson Thompson age 51, passed away November 26, 2022, at her home.
She was born March 3, 1971, in Jackson, TN the daughter of the late Terry Ray and Hazel Christine Martin Johnson. She grew up in Henderson and graduated from Chester County High School in 1989.
She went to McCollum & Ross Beauty School in Jackson and became a cosmetologist. She owned her own shop for several years, and then began working at A Cut Above for many years.
She was a member of the Roby Church of Christ.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, she loved the beach, her kids and animals, and she leaves behind her beloved dog, “Knox”.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Sydney Thompson of Jackson, a son, Tanner Thompson of Henderson; three sisters, Teresa Newman of Brownsville, Tina Wright of Reagan and Dawn Clayton of Henderson and a brother, Marty Johnson (Emily) of Enville, TN.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 29th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue. Burial will follow in Roby Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday.
