Laura Cupples

Laura Burkhead Cupples was born January 17, 1914 in Chester County, Tennessee the daughter of the late George Washington and Nancy Eva Edna Cupples Burkhead.Mrs.Cupples was a Seamstress for 10 years at Oakley Fashions in Jackson. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in the Friendship Community of Chester County. She was married to George Cupples on September 9, 1949 He preceded her in death in 1997 .Mrs. Cupples departed this life on April 12, 2009 in Henderson, Tennessee at the age of 95 Years, 2 Months, 26 Days.She is survived by two daughters, Laverne Hurst and husband Bill of Henderson, TN, Eulena Sells and husband Ronnie of Beech Bluff, Tn; a son, Boyd Cupples and wife Kathy of Finger, TN; Nine Grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and two Great Great Grandchildren. Services will be held on April 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, Rev. Bobby Bray officiating. Burial will follow in the Owens Cemetery near Chickasaw State Park in Chester County
