LARRY (SNAKE) WALKER
was born in Decatur County, Tennessee on June 4, 1942 the son of the late Mincie Mae Brock Walker.
On September 16, 1966 he was united in marriage to Patricia Kelly Perkins, who survives.
Snake as he was known by everyone, served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars. He later worked for the United States Postal Service for 41 years. Snake was a member of East End United Methodist Church. His favorite past times were doing yard work, traveling, watching Ole Miss Football and especially golfing, which he was a golf ranger at Pickwick State Park. Most of all Snake loved his family and grandchildren.
He departed this life on Sunday, December 29, 2019 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 25 days.
In addition to his wife of 53 years, he is survived by his two loving daughters, Mia Qualls of Clifton, Tennessee and Monica Vanhoose and her husband Rodney of Counce, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Emma Morgan, Grace Vanhoose and Andrew Vanhoose; and one sister, Dorothy Mabry of Savannah, Tennessee.
Snake was preceded in death by his mother, Mincie Mae Brock Walker, one sister, Rebecca Scott and one brother, James E. (Sonny) Walker.
