Larry A. Ness

Larry A. Ness departed this life on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at the age of 68 years, 1 month, and 22 days. He was born in Sisseton, South Dakota on May 28, 1948. On June 8, 1974, he was united in marriage to Sharon McCain, who survives.

Larry was a truck driver for Crete Carriers. He had served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a helicopter crew chief and a three time Purple Heart recipient. He later transferred his service to the National Guard and in 1994 he was discharged with 26 years of service to his country.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon McCain Ness of Counce, Tennessee; son, Terry James Ness and wife, Nichole of Adamsville, Tennessee; grandchild, Conner James Ness; father, Al Ness and wife, Ruth of Spencer, Iowa; brothers, Roger Ness and wife, Helen and Curt Ness and wife, Roseanne all of Spencer, Iowa; sister, Kathy Mackie and husband, Larry of Scottsdale, Arizona; godson, Keith Black and wife, Christa; brother-in-law, Pete McCain; sisters-in-law, Juywonia Kennedy, Mable McCain, and Regenia Watson.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Ness.
