Larry Gene Goodrum

Larry Gene Goodrum was born July 9, 1943 in Pocahontas, TN the son of the late Cecil Eugene (C. E.) and Stella Kirk Goodrum.

He was united in marriage to Barbara McCann Hively on February 25, 1983.

Mr. Goodrum enjoyed working and was formerly employed by several manufacturers including Brown Shoe Company, Colonial Bread, and Kimberly Clark. He also operated a convenience store in recent years. Larry loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's ball games. Many years ago Larry was baptized into Christ by Malcom George.

Mr. Goodrum departed this life on June 24, 2016 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 11 Months, 15 Days. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Barbara Hively Goodrum of Selmer, TN; two daughters, Lisa Dillon and husband Jimmy of Selmer, TN and Suzie (Hively) Glover and husband Jack of Stantonville, TN; two sons, Jason Hively and wife Anita and Clark Hively and wife Rhonda, all of Selmer, TN; nine grandchildren: Jacob Dillon, Allison Dillon, J. P. Glover, Will Glover and wife Emily, Matthew Glover, Luke Glover, Anna Grace Hively, Lucas Hively, and Brooke Hively and companion Jaylon Harbin; two great-grandchildren, Cruz Harbin and Cash Harbin; five sisters: Betty Stanfield and husband Jerry of Pocahontas, TN, Coy Elam and husband Danny, Joy Gray and husband Johnny, Debbie Pratt and husband Kenny, and Jackie Tull and husband Chris, all of Selmer, TN; two brothers, Dennis Goodrum and wife Loretta of Selmer, TN and Danny Goodrum of Stantonville, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Goodrum was preceded in death by a brother, Bo Goodrum.
